  1. Hey I was wondering if anybody knew Dallas Ketron he served from 73-75 at Warner barracks he started out as a recovery specialist and went to being a truck driver TIA

  2. I was at warner barracks from 1972 till 1974 in headquarters battery 2/78 FA. I can’t find anyone from my era or unit anywhere. If your out there let me know please

    1. Dale W. Strand, there are a lot of the 2-78 FA soldiers on the Warner Barracks site on Facebook. Not sure if you have access to that site but you can request access by answering the questions on the site. I knew a few of the guys that were there, such as CSM Mann, another guy that was a cook there by the name of Pulley. Unfortunately, but have passed away. Hope this helps.

  3. Served with the 2nd Armored Cav.. 76-78.. Tank mechanic. I heard that most of the area where the barracks are located is a restricted area.

I would love to return as see all the changes and all that hasn’t changed.

    1. Robert, yes that area is restricted to only the Bundespolizei and its employee’s. You can still try asking at the gate if you can go in and look. They can only say no. That area has just some minor changes. If you are on FB there is a site where you can see photos that I have posted before it closed. I got into most of the billets and the HQ’s before it closed and snapped many pictures. I was across the street from 1973 to 1991 in 3-35 Amor and I am still here in Bamberg.
