  1. I was stationed at Ayers Kaserne from 1966 to 1969, in the Headquarters Battery of the Second Battalion, Third Artillery, Third Armored Division. In addition to my regular army duties, I was a projectionist at the Wainwright Theatre, which was the name of the post theatre. I got my projectionist training from SMAJ A.N. Richards, who was the regular projectionist. The theatre had Simplex X-L projectors and Peerless Magnarc carbon arc lamps and a curved CinemaScope screen. I loved this job, and it led to a 30-year projectionist career in the Richmond, Virginia, area after I got out of the army.

  2. HI I am writing a book about a then young soldier stationed at Ayers Kaserne 1963-1966. I request permission to use the gate photo of Ayers Kaserne in the book. Please advise
