Most of these places were in Erlangen. There is only a few of them left now, these are the places I liked the most when I was there 1974-1978.

Black Bear was a favorite to a lot of the soldiers.
I don’t have a picture to post but right down the street from Badnerhof Kaserne in Heilbronn, was a very small Wine Stube. I was stationed there in 1968-1970. They served sandwiches, beer and wine and it was a cozy little place. All us soldiers frequented it all the time, especially for one of their wonderful ham and cheese sandwiches on brown bread as a late night snack. We called it “Tilly’s” after the waitress that worked there. It is still there after all these years. It is officially “Braun’s Weinstube”.
Good times at the clubs and bowling.
