WÜRZBURG, GERMANY
A large military hospital complex was built in Würzburg in 1936-37. When the U.S. Army moved into the area in April 1945, this facility was taken over by the 107th EVAC Hospital, and it continues to serve as a U.S. Army hospital today.
The US Army Hospital Wuerzburg is located high on the Galgenberg Hill overlooking the city of Würzburg, in the heart of Franconia. The hospital is a 6 story building on a landscaped park area of approximately 14 acres.
ARMY BARRACKS 
I had my first child there on Feb. 04, 1998. We were stationed in Schweinfurt and lived in Bad Kissingen.
I was stationed there from May 1966 to December 1968 as the Compamy Clerk of the Medical Company 33rd Field Hospital. The Orderly Room was located on the top floor next to the Hospital Theater of which I worked a second job as the ticket seller. After about a year and a half the Orderly Room was moved to the actual barracks on Post (Leighton Barracks) about a mile away from the hospital. While the Orderly Room was on Post I was promoted to SP5. The Company Commander in 1968 when I rotated back to the states for discharge was Ronald C. Merickle from California and the 1SG was Larry Conroy from Wisconsin. I remember SFC Guidry (an elderly unmarried SFC medic that sponsored a Korean girl in an orphanage in Korea), SP6 Ulm (X- ray), the German National secretary Heidi to the Chief Nurse and the SFC in Charge of the Mess Hall that had the last name of Sergeant and he was “called Sergeant Sergeant.” He married the Hospital Dietitian who had the rank of Major. I don’t remember her last name but when they got married she was addressed as “Major Sergeant.” I still find that a little humorous. I also remember a SP5 by the name of William Bork from the EENT Clinic. His wife was named Rita and they were both from Oregon. They invited to their off post residence in Wurzburg for Thanksgiving Day lunch at which time they told me the good news that Rita was pregnant.
I worked in the Pharmacy from November 1982 to October 1986. I was on active duty (Go Army). My son Brandon Charles Mahan was born there 27 Nov 1985.
I was born there in December 1978 to Glen and Carol Martin. Glenn was army. I’ve been trying to find record of my birth father to no avail. My mother Carol died 3 years ago
Our son was born there 9/27/1985. We went back on his 30th birthday in 2015 and it was being used as a “spa” by the Germans. Lol
My dad, Frank S. Cole was hospitalized there in August of 1946 before being transferred to Mannheim Rehabilitation Center. How can I get a copy of his medical records?
My daughter was born there in Dec. 1995. I’ll never forget that hospital. It’s too bad that it was sit shut down.

I volunteered at the Red Cross there back in 1998. I didn’t realize it’s still an active US Army Hospital.
Never been there but drove by numerous times on the autobahn
