  1. My name is Nicola and I was born offbase in Amberg in 1978. We are a black family and our last name is Jacobs. My father was a Captain, maybe a Major when we were stationed at Pond’s Barracks. There were 4 of us girls before we moved to West Point in 81ish. Does anyone remember Gegi, Shontae, TaRosa and Nicola? Our mother is black but she spoke German. I was born at MariamKrankenhaus in Dec. 1978. Thank you!!

  2. Looking for Sgt Ricky Cole.

He was from a small town in Kentucky, one of the best soldiers I ever served with.

Any info would be greatly appreciated

  4. Hello, I recently acquired the personal photo collection of a Army Colonel who was stationed in Germany in the late 50s. These are mostly color Kodachrome slides and some are really nice photos. He took _a lot_ of pictures and I’m trying to find somewhere to share the better ones. I’ve tried to joins a few veteran/Germany related FB groups- but I’m not getting added I guess since I’m not a veteran- though I do include why I’m trying to join.

    my email address is mybeaglesam@gmail.com

    Thanks, Todd in KY

  5. Hello, Ladies and Gentleman my name is Lynn and I’m helping a gentleman named Willie Hill look for a buddy of his from their time stationed at the barracks. His name is Michael Cherry and they were there from 1980-1982 along with another buddy named Isaiah Crawford. All three gentlemen were from Georgia. Does anyone know Mr Cherry and how to get ahold of him? We know Mr Crawford has passed. You can contact me at lynndavis384@gmail.com. Thank you for your service.

  6. I was born in Schwabach on November 12, 1952. My father, M.D. Phelps Jr. (initials only), from Russell Springs, Kentucky, was a U.S. Army doctor and a First Lieutenant – but I’m not sure what unit or where he actually served. My mother and older sister traveled to join him and (from what I was told!) nine months and one day after their arrival, I was born. I’m not sure what the one day’s delay was all about.
I know they lived in an apartment somewhere in Schwabach and had a housekeeper. If anyone has any insight into where that might have been, I’d love to hear what you have to offer. One of my ambitions is to visit the town and I’d like to have as much information about where I might have been before I go.

Thanks, in advance for any help.
