I served 6 years in the Army Reserve and was at Ft Ben from April -May 1981 for my computer schooling. Fond memories!!!
After re enlisting, was stationed there..was 71delta legal clerk…fond memories. Sometime in 1981…memory fails me

Wow, someone who was actually stationed their around the same time as when my Mother was.
OLD FORT HARRISON ON PAGE 2. I WAS BORN IN 1946 AND I CAN STILL REMEMBER SOME OF THESE OLD BUILDINGS WERE STILL THERE WHEN I WAS A KID. I ALWAYS LOVED GOING THROUGH FT HARRISON WHEN I WAS YOUNG. A FEW OF THE OLD WOOD BARRACKS WERE STILL THERE WHEN I WAS NERY YOUNG AND CHURCH IN THE PHOTO IS STILL THERE TODAY. ALSO THE OLD TRAIN DEPOT IS STILL THERE. IT’S A RESTAURANT TODAY. IN THE 1980’S IT WAS A POST OFFICE. I CARRIED MAIL THERE A FEW TIMES ON POST.
