My family and I were stationed at beautiful McCully Barracks, 1st Armored Division, from 1999 – 2001 where I was honored to serve as the 1-4 ADA Operations Officer (S3) and Battalion Executive Officer. A great group of soldiers, NCOs, and officers to be part of and an absolute honor to serve with…our middle son was born in Wiesbaden during this time and made for special memories in the Bain Household. My sincere thanks and immense gratitude to all the superb soldiers that chose this life to serve others and our great nation!
Also, served at Armstrong Kaserne (Budingen, GE), 3rd Armored Division, from 1985-1988 spent three excellent years learning how to lead soldiers as a young lieutenant toward the end of the Cold War days. Still have great memories helping patrol the 1K Zone near the Fulda Border. Wonderful times indeed!
