  1. We were stationed in Bamberg 1959-1961 Our headquarters was in Nurnburg. On May 15, 1960, I was transported to Wurzburg and our beautiful baby boy, Marlowe Keith, was born. This month, October, 2024, he returned to Germany with his wife, to see where he was born. We were both teenagers at the time, but have lifelong memories, and brought home the ultimate souvenir of our tour of Europe Thank you

    1. Hi Shari, I too brought home the ultimate souvenir. We were stationed at Wertheim, 1958-1961. My husband was with the 52nd Medical Detachment, Helicopter Ambulance, Penden Barracks. Oct 15, 1959 I rode in an old bench ambulance to Wurzburg to deliver my baby girl morning of the 16th. We too were young, but also lifelong memories. I found this site working on a photo album of our time there for a Christmas gift. I’m sorry I never had the chance to go back. Good to know others are still out there with somewhat shared memories.

Spent time in gym and at Pepi’s.

post champs in basketball, flag football, and softball.

    1. Hi Jerry do you know about Luis Roman? He was the same time like you there?

    2. Flag football champions? I played for 165th Signal in ’84. Most of that is a blur now, but we must have played you guys. My roommate, Sgt. Glen Wallace, was a powerlifter who also spent a lot of time in the gym. For me, it was only two years, but it’s amazing how lifelong impactful that time in the Army and in Germany turned out to be. Blessings to you and yours.

      1. Did not know at the time, but my time in Babenhausen was on of the best times in my life. The friends I made there will never be forgotten. Black, white, whatever color, made no difference, we were all there for our Country and had a mission. I lived in the building across from the EM Club and next to the Motor Pool. I was there from 1964 to 1967. My first sergeant was Guy R Collin’s and my Commanding Officer was Lt. Thomas E. Johnson, and later Captain Hunter C. Hess. I married a German girl and we have three Children together. I worked in the office as Company Clerk during my time and enjoyed every minute.
