    1. it was a great place, I enjoyed the gunnery’s with all the tanks, mortars, cobras, and apaches. I was always out in the field though, and border guard duty, so with a new baby, I ETS’d.. I really enjoyed the brotherhood though..

        1. yes, we were able to call from the motor pool. The wife was able to call in as well. I hope this helps..

  2. My husband was stationed with the Artillery battalion in Ansbach from 1958 to 1961. There were only two quarter buildings and the airfield was used by the 2 L19 pilots. We had to go to Ansbach for all the facilities! Guess many things change in over 60 years!

  3. Was there from August 73 through July 74. 1st Battalion, 37th Armor, 1st Armored Division.

  4. I went there TDY from Turkey to Pncoc in Jan 82. CSM Kidd was the commandant.

  5. I went to this place back in 1974 when I was an E-5. Made E-6 right after finishing the NCO course there.
