My dad, Sgt. William (Bill) Tignor was stationed at Herzo base in the 70’s. We lived in the housing area off post. Those were some of the best times of my life. I loved it in Germany, but of course, my mom was German too. I have since lost my mom and dad; mom to colon cancer at the age of 45 and my dad just 6 years ago to complications from Agent Orange. He served 2 tours in Vietnam and was hell of a man.
